EASTER 2009 TOURNAMENT RESULTS Congratulations to those teams that participated in the Easter Tournament. The U9B Dynamo WON their division! Way to go! The U11B AMFC also WON their division! The U13B AMFC did it again and went undefeated winning the Easter Tournament! The U12B AMFC took 3rd place in their division! FALL 2008 RESULTS Congratulations to the following teams and their peformance at the STYSA STATE Playoffs for Fall 2008. The U10G Kickers were a coin toss away from going to the finals! U8B AMFC take 1st place! U9B Cachorros - capture 1st place in a double overtime win! The U10B AMFC win 1st place! The U12B take home 2nd place SPRING '08 TOURNAMENT RESULTS U12B - AMFC - WIN - Texas Heatwave DII Tournament - Feb. 23rd / 24th The U12B - AMFC won the Texas Heatwave tournament on February 24th going undefeated for the weekend. They played 3 qualifying games ending up with 2 wins and a tie which led to a spot in the championship game on Sunday. TheY defeated the Aldine United Warriors 2 to 1 in that championship game bringing home yet another 1st place trophy. Way to go AMFC! U14B - ARSENAL - Take home another 1st place trophy this Spring Two weeks after winning the Nike Tournament, the SLSC U14 Arsenal won the Eclispe Invitational Silver Bracket (EDS2/D2) on February 24th with a record of 2-0-2. Arsenal tied United Alliance 2-2, tied Eclipse (White) 1-1, and Beat Brenham 2-1 in the preliminary round. Arsenal played Eclipse in the Championship. At the end of regulation the score was tied 0-0. A shoot out was held to decide the winner. After a tense 5 person shoot out the score was tied again at 4-4. It became sudden death. Eclipse shot first and the Arsenal goalie blocked it. Arsenal then shot and scored. Arsenal won the championship. This is the second Tournament out of two this Feb. where Arsenal has won a sudden death shootout. The Arsenal parents are all now scheduling appointments with heart specialists. Congratulations Arsenal. State Champions... The U11G - Dynamos and U13B - Arsenal both traveled to Pflugerville as the #1 Eastern District seeds for the Directors Cup State Championship.
